
Ling Hsu has been living in Fort Greene since 2005 and has been a board member of the FGA since September 2017. After completing her masters in design from Pratt Institute, she has been implementing human-centered design approach in large organizations for more than a decade. She collaborates with design teams and management for clients in both public and private sectors across the globe.
Some of her work has been in conjunction with the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission, the Cradle of Aviation Museum, GE, General Mills, MelaFind, Dräger Medical, and Bühler Group. Her experience in computer science and industrial design have allowed her to create integrated solutions for varied design challenges.
As an immigrant from Taiwan, Ling is committed to providing design education to youth from diverse backgrounds as well as raising awareness of effective design methodologies in her community. She is a founding member of Friends of Fort Greene Park. The group advocates for sustainable renovations of our neighborhood park. Its focus is to fully incorporate residential input to achieve a design that supports current uses of the beloved historic park.
